Teri lives in the lovely state of Vermont by way of California with roots in the Midwest. As a child she lived in South St. Louis, an area defined by century old brick homes from many architectural styles; Art Deco, Edwardian, Victorian, Tudors and Colonial. Homes with luxurious interiors of intricate iron fretwork, beautifully crafted millwork, solid wood doors and stained glass. While the women in her family loved restoring old homes and creating beautiful interiors, the men were iron workers going back two generations. Her grandfathers were colleagues who built bridges and high rises all over the world. Teri spent summers with her grandparents in New Orleans, a city overflowing with creativity; from chefs to masquerade to jazz. Here she was exposed to an even wider range of design possibilities springing from the rich combination of French, Spanish, African, Italian, Latin, German, Anglo and Irish cultures.
Teri moved to Telluride, Colorado after studying Hospitality at the University of Missouri. After a few years in the San Juan Mountains she moved to Santa Cruz, California where she received her degree in Interior Design, studying with the preeminent designers in Silicon Valley and the Bay Area. Since coming to Vermont in 2007, Teri has performed a full range of interior design services while working with some of Vermont’s top architects, builders and craftspeople in the Mad River Valley, Stowe and Burlington.
